San Diego Chargers History and Information
The Chargers have a long way to go, with a short time to get there. Now halfway through a somewhat bizarre 2005 NFL season, 6-2 will be, at minimum, what the Chargers need to produce in the season’s 2nd half. The schedule continues to be tougher than ever.
The Jets have had the Chargers number over the past years. True, San Diego has absorbed every conceivable injury they are still a playoff team, the same team that beat the Chargers in January last year. On offense, Chad Pennington is already out for the long term, & now Vinny Testaverde is attempting to wobble his way back on the field by Sunday’s game. Vinny, who will turn 42ys of age next week, will be bum-rushed by guys who were literally still in Huggies when he led Miami to the Fiesta Bowl.
The injury riddled Jets’ Offensive line will be in for a tough assignment as Luis Castillo & Shawne Merriman continue to gain confidence & gather steam. The Chargers’ Luis Castillo is emerging as a steal as of & in the meantime, Merriman’s 2 sacks last Sunday were the most by a Chargers’ rookie in the past 3 years, further cementing him as the best #12 overall pick in the NFL since, the Jets’ Jonathan Vilma 1 year ago. Merriman has simply been as advertised; a big, nasty son of a gun who can’t quite believe he gets paid to clobber people for a living.

San Diego Chargers News
San Diego Chargers Need Vontaze Burfict's Attitude Before all you readers lose your cool about the idea of bringing Vontaze Burfict and all his baggage to San Diego, let me first explain why such an irrational decision ironically makes sense. With general manager A.J. Smith and head coach Norv Turner on the hot seat after narrowly escaping being fired in the offseason, the time to take big risks is coincidentally right now. If Smith and Turner ... Numbers game at the Pro Bowl The Pro Bowl has turned into a numbers game. The AFC features five players who wear No. 24, including three corners, which has caused some confusion with autograph seekers and photographers leading up to Sunday's all-star game. The quintet of 24s include New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey, Houston Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph, San Diego Chargers ... CBS 8 congratulates Philip Rivers, named 2012 Walter Payton NFL man of the year award finalist San Diego Chargers Quarterback Philip Rivers is recognized for his contributions and commitment to San Diego's abused, neglected and abandoned children. 2012 Free Agency: 5 Moves the San Diego Chargers Need to Make Another disappointing season in San Diego. It seems that every year around this time, Chargers fans are upset. I think the reason most fans get so annoyed with San Diego is because the expectations for them are very high every season. To tell you the truth, I'd be the first to agree with someone that Norv Turner and A.J. Smith should be gone, but it's not going to happen. I also see it from the ... |
